Summer Haul

Summer is quickly approaching and I could not be anymore excited! :) I've recently been picking up items here and there to prepare for the upcoming warm months.

Let's start off with the clothes.

Bought this about a month ago at Abercrombie & Fitch. The fit is so nice. Looks sorta like a halter top from the front but the back is completely covered.

Fitting room :)
On to crop top number 2! Sadly, the picture washes out it's true color. In person it's more of a minty green/blue. It was the ruffles that caught my eyes lol.
H&M
Can't go wrong with a white tee! This one is cropped with a boxy cut, edgy but still casual. My new go to comfy white tee.
H&M
I was on the search for the perfect pair of distressed denim for weeks! Finally, I stumbled upon this beauty as I was ready to leave Forever 21. "Sometimes you find what you're looking for when you least expect it..." Lol jk! But seriously these were the last pair! I was so ecstatic, can't wait to style these.

H&M
What's summer without swimwear?? Soooo I was contemplating on whether or not to invest in a Triangl bikini because they are quite pricey! Instead I opted for a dupe version of it. These are from aliexpress.com.

They surprisingly fit really well! Shipping took awhile, almost a month. It was packaged neatly. Although the top piece did come with a few creases it evened out after a few days. Now I really want to invest in the real Triangl bikini after the great outcome of this pair. Ohh the struggle of a broke college student... Haha

Click here for the link to where I ordered.
This next pair is from Target. The top has this faux leather look to it, which makes me feel like a badass. Lol! The white bottom is pretty standard, nothing really special. Just wanted it to match with every other top I own.
Now these were found in the clearance section, so don't overlook that area cause you'll occasionally find some treasures there. :)

Target
Okay...so...I splurged on this bag and I don't regret it at all! A girl can never have enough bags, believe that. Longchamp totes are great because the material is durable and they fit SO MUCH STUFF!! This particular one has a detachable strap which turns it into a cross-body bag.
I've been using this as my everyday bag and I'm in love. <3

Link to purchase.

Here it is in an #ootd post on my Instagram. @jessaohh
My go to nail color lately has been 'Mint Sorbet' by Sally Hansen. It's the perfect minty green shade! The formula is pretty opaque for a such a light color. You should be good to go with 2 coats.
MINT! MINT! MINT!
The last item I would like to mention is this moisturizer. This is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel.
It contains hyaluronic acid which just sucks all of the moisture into your skin! The formula is so light and smooth! A little goes a looooong way! I think this is going to be perfect for summer because it makes my skin feel super hydrated and it soaks in quickly so there's no need to wait for it to set. I can't even explain the texture of the product, it's like jelly!
I bought mine from Target for about $18, kinda pricey for a drugstore product, but it's worth it!

Now that you've made it to the end of this post I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read it. I hope you have a great day...or night whichever haha. Be sure to be on the look out for future posts. Also follow me on Instagram @jessaohh :)

Mini Beauty Haul

Hello everyone! How I've missed writing blogs! <3 But I'm back with a haul :)

'Riri Hearts M·A·C -Hibiscus Kiss'

So...this finally came in the mail today! Isn't the packaging gorgeous?! Rose gold is such a perfect Fall color. Sadly, my camera makes the blush look more red-ish/orange-y but its not. It's actually a lighter coral color in person. The bronzer has a matte finish.
I haven't had a chance to swatch the blush and bronzer because it looks too pretty to use. LOL! But I will use it don't worry :) I ordered this on Nordstrom since it was sold out on the M·A·C website.

The Balm- 'Balm Shelter'

I also recently got this tinted moisturizer by The Balm. I've been wanting to try products from The Balm because I've heard many great things about this brand. And thankfully my local Kohl's renovated and began to carry brands such as The Balm, Lorac, Studio Gear, etc. :)
This tinted moisturizer is so nice! It goes on very smoothly and provides a light coverage. Although it does have a slight sunscreen smell. I don't have a lot of time in the mornings before class so this has been great! Foundation takes up way too much time and then you have to use a foundation brush and blend away! But with this you just apply it using your fingers and it looks great!

College is so much work and I miss summer more each day! But I don't mind Autumn, trees change colors and the weather gets cooler. I love sweaters, hoodies, and leggings! AND... the holidays are slowly approaching! My birthday and Christmas are only 11 days apart! :) AND... I love winter time because snow makes everything look so dreamy.

Thank you for stopping by and have an amazing day! :) <3

Review: NYX Precious Pearls

I've been wanting the 'Caviar Manicure' by Ciate. It's kit with a bottle of nail polish and a bottle of very tiny beads. It is a bit pricey at $25. So while I was on the Nordstrom website I stumbled upon the NYX Precious Pearls which was $10. I decided to get the NYX instead of the Ciate since I wasn't sure if I'd like the look on my nails plus it cost a lot less.

NYX Precious Pearls had 3 colors: black, white, and black & white. Although Ciate's Caviar Manicure comes in a wider range of colors.

On my ring finger.
I ended up really loving the way it looked on my finger. The white polish is very opaque and the pearls stuck on when sprinkled over the wet polish. Try to pack on as much pearls as possible for a clean look. Also apply a thin layer of top coat at the end so it'll last longer. Mine lasted for 5 days, on the 5th day some pearls began to come off.

Overall I really enjoyed this kit and will hopefully purchase the black one too! :) Thank you for stopping and have a great day!

DIY Makeup Brushes Holder

Here's a super cute way to store your makeup brushes neatly. And its easy too!

List of Materials:
  • Vase
  • Sand
  • Paint and Paint Brushes (optional)

Start by painting the vase. I chose to paint a branch of cherry blossoms.
Next add the sand and stick your makeup brushes inside. My vase is 5" tall and 5" wide. I used 2 pounds of sand.

Yay all done! :) There are many different colors of sand to choose from so painting the vase is not necessary. But feel free to get as created as you wish. Have a fun and safe 4th of July everyone!

:) New Nail Stuff

Yesterday, I purchased new items for my nails. I'm very excited to try them out!

The first item is a nail tool set from H&M. It includes a small brush, dotting tool, and nail file. The tool on the very left is something I'm not familiar with. Lol I'll just play around with it until I find its purpose. The small brush is really nice. Its soft but holds its shape, not flimsy at all. It'll be used to paint stripes or french tips. The dotting tool is double-ended, one has a small ball on the tip while the other is a pointed tip. This tool will be used for small details. The polka dot print on the nail file is too adorable! :)
I love the packaging!
Next item is also from H&M. These little gems are perfect for adding some BLING on to your nails. There are nine types of gems and all sorts of shapes and colors. The applicator does a great job at picking up the gems. The glue is a bit difficult to work with so I tend to not use it. I just place the gems on right before the polish dries and then paint a top coat over it.

Final item is a nail polish from Target. It is called 'Berry Juicy' by Sally Hansen. This color is super pretty and girly! I can't wait to use it. Hopefully, the color will be opaque. Soft pastel colors are my favorite! :)

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Stay tuned for nail pictures using these new items! Hope you have a great day! :)

Simple and Easy Nail Design :)

Here's a quick and fun way to decorate your nails.

Step 1: Gather all the materials. All you need are nail polishes, tape, and scissors.

Step 2: Paint all your nails with a base color which will serve as the background color.
Polish Used: Sinful Colors- Easy Going and the gems on my ring finger are from H&M.
Step 3: Using different color nail polishes paint stripes onto the tape. The width of the stripes is up to you! The more colors the better :) Once the paint on the tape dries you may begin cutting out different shapes.

Step 4Place the pieces you cut onto your nails. Its best to apply the pieces with tweezers for a more precise placement. Just trim off the excess if needed.  Make sure to seal everything in with your favorite top coat.

ALL DONE! Now you have beautiful nails for the summer. Enjoy and good luck!
